13 You made my whole being;
you formed me in my mother’s body.
14 I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way.
What you have done is wonderful.
I know this very well.
15 You saw my bones being formed
as I took shape in my mother’s body.
When I was put together there,
16 you saw my body as it was formed.
All the days planned for me
were written in your book
before I was one day old.
I am convinced that He (God) does not play dice.
Two people to a chair
In the air
Which color comes last?
Let your heart drop to your feet
And close your eyes as the world rushes to meet
You lost all control
Where this light ends you never know
Squint these eyes only see whats ahead.
Okay just to preface everything I am about to say, I did this for a quick English journal in class. It does not by any means perfectly, nor completely describe what truly is love, but here it is nevertheless.
Love is when you would do anything or would give anything for someone, yet that does not even begin to touch it. Love is patient, and love is kind. Love does not take offense. It is an unrelenting story. It is unimpaired emotions that people are only blessed to share. Love is not something that can even be measured accurately in its entirety by human words. It is passionate and it is giving. It is the look of affection that can be seen in one’s eyes. It is not lousy nor is it deceiving. It cannot be truly shown towards any inanimate object. It’s that deep feeling in the pit of your stomach like your standing on the edge of a cliff, yet you’re not scared you’re happy, and even delighted. It’s a feeling that makes every girls dream of becoming a fairy tale dream come true. It makes time literally stand still while all you take a moment to run through the flowers as the graze the hem of your dress. It can even be said that love is the blissful feeling put into action of caring for someone.
So that’s all I got to write down in our limited time period, but my wish was to continue it. I may just add on in a later post so if you don’t see anything soon feel free to remind me! 🙂
What are your dreams?
I know some of my dreams will never be attainable, but some of them just might be within my grasp.
I dream to be a wife.
I dream to be a mom.
I dream to have an influence.
I dream to be a friend.
I dream to be intellegent.
I dream to be encouraging.
Some dreams we don’t have any control over, but some dreams we do. We simply, or not so simply, have to work for them if we want them to become our reality.
I dream to be beautiful.
To be humble.
I dream to be SATISFIED.
I realize this is kind of an oxymoron. A dream of satisfaction? To dream is to wish for something you don’t have or that you aren’t and wish to become. The issue is that I believe that the happiest people in the world are those who are content.
Q: What’s your best memory of childhood? What did you do as a child that you don’t do anymore?
A: My absolute most amazing, glorious memory from childhood is my time with my dad. We did so many seemingly small tings together, but they meant the world to me. He had this snazzy little watch that rotated to show the moon or the sun depending on the time of day and after preschool he’d always let me check to see if it was still correct. Every Saturday we would go together to the carwash to clean his Jeep, and we would stop and get a couple rootbeers. Then when my mom was working late he would take me to Fun, Fun, Fun. So maybe my clothes didn’t match because my dad’s color blind, but I have the best dad in the entire universe. I am most deffinately a daddy’s little girl.
Hey so in my EngIIIH class we have daily journals and this just so happens to be one of them. 🙂
Q: If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? Why? What would you never change?
A: If I could change anything about myselft I would have made myself perfect a long time ago. If my goal is to become a better person then why not just change the fact that I’m not perfect? Although, the question then becomes, “what is ‘perfect’?” Just the like the question, “how many licks does it take to get to the inside of a Blowpop?” the world may never know. Is perfection even something worth achieving? Isn’t there something beautiful about imperfection sometimes? I know for sure something that I’d never change about myself, simply to become perfect, are my talents. Talents are gifts that God has given you to help you advance in His will for you. Those things you love and have a passion for are amazing things you should never change.
Would you rather have a conversation with someone who really doesn’t have anything to say so they fill the open space with random useless speech or have a conversation with someone who because they don’t have anything to say doesn’t feel the need to fill the air with polite small talk?
It seems to me that the Small Talker may be a little bit less awkward and seem a little bit more friendly. Maybe saying, “so how ‘bout them Red Sox?” isn’t so bad. Think about how much you could learn about someone through these types of conversations. I know that probably how I got to know most of my friends now.
The great thing about the Sparing Talker is that you know what they’re saying is something worth hearing. I mean, what’s more memorable, the few sentances spoken after a long while of silence or the ramblings of nothingness? It’s like quality vs. quantity. If they’re not prone to speak then think about how meaningful something must be to make them.
I believe that a large portion of who people are is defined by where you want to go, and what you want to become. Therefore; I am a teenage girl who aspires to be many great, admirable things. I want to be accountable, trustworthy, and helpful. I long to be fun, happy, and joyful. I dream to be honest, thoughtful, and caring. I wish to be both beautiful and intellegant. My goal is to be the absolute best person I can be. I, Sarah Kaylan Butler, am all these things and much much more in training.
